Good evening (for May 12, 2011)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEEE…….HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!
If you haven’t guessed it…. today, I celebrate my 25th birthday. Born May 12, 1986 at 3:42am. It all took place at Warmack Hospital on Fort Bragg Army Base in Fayetteville, North Carolina. My mother was 22 years old (from Denison, TX) and my father was 25 years old (from Orangeburg, SC).

Today was filled with lots of birthday greetings, cards, emails, ‘facebook’ messages and soo much more. I even got a special Birthday 'Rap' from Lil Shunizzle from G-ville....you know who you are! (wink, wink!!) (p.s. This is not a REAL rapper....just a good friend who likes doing birthday raps..LOL)
I’m very humbled by the love….and appreciate it all!
In lieu of the day, I decided to try a new restaurant and a new pastime activity.
So today after taking care of ‘business’, I got dressed and ventured off to the Oriental Express, a Chinese/hibachi restaurant in Vinings, Georgia . For lunch I had the almond chicken with a side of egg soup.
Since I first moved in the Smyrna area….I have always wanted to try this place. I thought it was soo interesting how the restaurant was made from an ‘actual’ train.
Although I am truly grateful for the experience…the food didn’t live up to my expectations. (It wasn’t BAD but it wasnt as great as my China Moon-which is my FAVORITE Chinese restaurant) .
I got the almond chicken (never had it before!) Wasnt BAD but wasnt anything SPECIAL!
But nonetheless…I set off to Sandy Springs where I visited ‘Art n’ Soul’ Pottery Studio. Now this was quite an experience….because I’m not the best at painting. I dont consider myself creative when it comes to ‘actually drawing and painting the art’ .
So my plate started like this….
And ended like this….
25 balloons for 25 years! I pick up the finished product in a week!
Of course, a birthday would not be a birthday without some ICE CREAM. Stopped by the local TCBY and got some White Chocolate Mocha (never had this before either)!
YUMMY!
My day ended with my Ice cream on my lap, my feet on my couch and my TV on my 3 favorite shows (The Office, Community, Parks and Recreation)
So the day was a good day for me. It was nice, mellow but still had enough adventure to make the day great!
Day 7 Lesson: No matter WHAT the situation….ALWAYS make sure to have a Happy Birthday! (another year....another blessing!)
