And So It Begins......

Good evening all and welcome to my special birthday blog project! If you dont know, I'm Morgan (HI!)...

...and will be turning the BIG 25 this month.  I'm truly excited about this special milestone in my life and plan to celebrate every moment of it.

Now, I'm sure you are wondering where this idea emerged from and what exactly you should expect from it. Before I get to that....let me take you back a few weeks. So let's go back! (imagine shimmering magic dust)

A few weeks ago, I was a happily employed member of society. A happy working girl with soo many goals for myself this year. I had EVERYTHING planned (because I have a SUPER type A personality). I wanted to accomplish it all....saving for the house, the start of another degree by the end of the year, financial stability and most importantly a GREAT way to celebrate my upcoming 25th birthday (was saving for months)! Then in the blink of an eye, I was laid off from my job. Can you say.....Afraid, Disappointed, Depressed, Crushed, etc, etc.  Although I kept the 'poker' face for everyone, I was CRUSHED inside.  But through some STRONG prayer, mediation, great encouragement from my family and friends.....I was able to place things back into perspective and I'm continuing to rebuild myself!

Now to the blog!
With a little inspiration from the movie 'Julie and Julia' (one of my favs), I decided to utilize my 'newfound' time and have a birth'month' instead of a birthday. Outside of job hunting and volunteering (aka 'taking care of business'), I will be celebrating my 25th birthday for 25 days during the month of May. Starting May 6th to May 30th (with a reflection on May 31st), each day I will have a new adventure that will Embrace Adulthood, Remember the Good Days, Learn Something New, and/or Conquer a Fear.  With each day, a lesson will be learned to take me to another 25 years. Most importantly, this blog will be the 'push' I need to go through with this project.....no matter what.

No adventure will be too big or too small for a lesson to be learned and embraced!

My goal is to live and learn.  So if you are ready to get started and follow this journey with me....

...Start Your Engines PLEASE!

I hope this is a great experience for me and you!

On to Day One.......
